Dr. Nektarios Kranitis has taught Computer Architecture and Digital System Design courses at undergraduate and graduate level in Greek Universities, including the Department of Informatics & Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) where he has taught undergraduate and graduate Computer Architecture courses from 2005 to 2011. He has more than 20 years of experience in Digital Systems Design using FPGAs and more than 15 years of research expertise in dependable computer architecture. His research interests focus on low-cost hardware defect detection for processor and processor-based systems architectures, on-board computers & data handling and on-board payload data processing systems. He has published more than 40 papers in peer reviewed transactions, journals and conference proceedings. Currently (2013), there are more than 410 citations that refer to his published work while his h-index which qualifies the impact and quantity of his research performance is 12. He is a member of the IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society.
